Many important business deals are conducted during functions outside of the 8-5 world. Doing business within a global economy requires that we pay attention to other customs and protocol, including our professional calling cards. Particularly in international circles, business cards explain our place in the corporate hierarchy, so our title should be clearly stated. Have plenty of cards but be choosy about giving them out to everyone in the room as unsolicited cards will usually go into the “circular file” in short order. Always offer your card facing them, so they can immediately read it.
One high-powered business woman shared this experience: “I recently returned from an international conference of women executives where I met hundreds of women who own multimillion-dollar businesses. Naturally, I collected cards from several of them. Here’s the amazing thing I discovered about those cards: with the exception of two or three, they were all ’same-old-same-old’. Why would these most successful individuals in the world have business cards that are as boring as a white wall? ”
Of course, a business card should identify YOU but also enable you to stand out from the crowd. If part of a corporation, you may have to abide by their standard design; however, if you own a business, you have the opportunity to reflect your personality on the business card and marketing materials.
When receiving cards from individuals of other countries, take them with both hands, study them, and then comment about something on the card. At least use their name and possibly a question of interest about what they do. Do not write on their cards as that is offensive to individuals from foreign countries. Keep separate paper to make notations. People in the U.S. often write a brief note on the back of cards if they want to follow up at a later time.
As always, when exchanging greetings, remember this quote from Mary Kay Ash, founder and business tycoon of Mary Kay Cosmetics, “Look at each person as if they have a sign around their neck saying, ‘Please make me feel important’!” What better time to do that than when first meeting and exchanging business cards!
Below are valid reasons to exchange cards when the individual is:
• a “potential” client or supplier
• a link to a colleague, former classmate or coworker
• someone we would like to know on a social or community level
• someone who is willing to pass our card on to another individual
• someone who needs/wants our updated information (title, phone number, etc.)
• someone who shows genuine interest in getting to know us, our products or business even better
There are different schools of thought regarding having a picture on one’s business card. Many companies have a standard design that does not allow for a photo. If in sales, real estate, service organizations or other competitive markets, a photo can distinguish us from our competitors and help everyone remember us much easier. Investigate what other successful individuals in your industry are doing.
Main point, when giving out your cards, make it all about them!!

Most people who buy a phone card for the first time, tantamount to playing Russian roulette. After purchase, they close their eyes and pray to God it works.OK, so I exaggerate. But seriously, do not blame smarter when it comes to buying a phone card. They are, after all, known for unnecessary expenses that the minutes of ZAP to zero faster than lightning. If you want to buy phone cards, less stress, then follow the three simple tips below.
Let me give you three basic tips that will help you find the right phone cards.
The first tip is to buy a card for free. Yes, you are not dreaming and I’m not lying. There is no such thing as free credit cards. All company sells phone cards and cards with no fees and costs. The funny thing is, you think that most people can buy tax-free cards from the beginning. Not at all. You see, the card with the lowest fees in the connection rate per minute. It is what consumers do not always know increase.if short and a call from a zero balance, you will definitely call customer service and the cry of the lungs. This is the biggest mistake most expensive and most consumers focus make. They of the lowest rates, not knowing that the card is loaded with unnecessary costs, such as communications, the charge carrier (or what I like to call out payment), and high maintenance. So I recommend everyone to buy cards, no fees. You will have to pay a penny or two in most cases, but believe me, it’s worth. In addition, the price is still cheaper than international phone plan of the house.
The second tip is mainly in the U.S. for clients of calling cards. Most cards offer free access numbers, but not exactly free. Usually, you must pay an additional 1 ¢ / minute. Now, if you live in the U.S., I suggest you use local access numbers, and not, as local housing programs by phone in the U.S. is the same size.
The third tip is to make sure that you know how many phone debit card is the mobile phone number. Card rates you see in advance by calling the land line, unless otherwise indicated. For example, if you see a card with a rate of 2 cents, and Australia call the number you dial, and did not know the number of mobile phone, the call may take up to 4 cents per minute. Therefore, if you do not know and that is the call for a zero balance, you will definitely call customer service and scream your lungs. The error is larger and more expensive than most consumers.
Most complaints because consumers do not know how to choose the right card vocation. I do not blame them really. After all, do not try to buy some frames of phone cards. But after reading this article, I hope to shed light and hope your phone card to buy a whole lot easier.

Calling cards, Call back,
More Details about Calling cards, Call back, here.
Symbian VoIP application, in this article, refers to the VoIP client that makes possible, calling using the Internet. Symbian is a cell phone operating system which is catching up with several smart phone companies even as Microsoft and Android are trying to push their own operating systems. Compared to Microsoft Windows 7 operating system and Android OS, Symbian costs much low and is preferred by smaller entities manufacturing smart phones.
Before we check out if it is possible to use calling cards on Symbian based mobile phones, let us understand what a VoIP application does. You know that it is possible to make calls using the Internet. You can use a fixed line that connects to a computer via SIP system for making long distance calls at a low cost. Alternatively, you can use one of the IMs to talk to the other person using a headset with microphone. However, that requires that the other person too is online and using the same IM.
With advent of VoIP, one can use a telephone to make calls using a SIP softswitch. The call, along with the recipient’s phone number is routed over the Internet using the SIP and lands up on the telephone of the recipient who need not be online. It is just like normal ISD calling, the only difference being the call routed through SIP for reducing the costs.
The above method too, has its disadvantages. The users have to be present at a specific place (where the fixed line phone is set up) to make and receive calls. VoIP clients make it possible that users can initiate a SIP session from their mobile cell phones. Plenty of VoIP clients exist but not all are good. There is one or other problem such as time lag etc related to the mobile phone VoIP calling.
If you are looking for a better package for Symbian VoIP application, you can try the one from iTel. It not only allows calling cards to be used with the smartphones, but also offers no-lag, real time conversation. To use the iTel package, you will need a GPRS, 3G or WiFi enabled handset. In addition, you can purchase the SIP softswitch from the same company for better communication experience (that is, if you want to set up multiple mobile phones and normal land line phones to work simultaneously on the same Internet connection).

The way Dubai is growing and progressing, it is quite understandable as to why is there so much of people wanting to come here to succeed. This has resulted into a great influx of people. By doing this, it is also important for them to get in touch with their families and loved ones and maintain the contact. So, the international calling cards are there.
Most of the international calling cards are not very economical and this leads to a rather inconvenient stay for those who have visited this place to work.
For those, who have come here for vacation also, feel home sick sometimes and these international calling cards are not cheap to start talking with. This is when Dubai calling cards come in to then picture, to let the family be in touch. There are a lot of carriers which offer great cards and schemes for calling Dubai.
One thing is worth noticing. This is the fact that calling anywhere else but Dubai will be a lot cheaper because the calling cards to Dubai as well as the other parts of the United Arab Emirates are very expensive; particularly when the places in Europe and the United States of America are brought to comparison.
At this time, these Dubai calling cards are the ones which can be looked up to for a smooth contact with the family and loved ones.
The Clear Connection card is the one that offers calling from 50 states from the United States of America to Dubai at the rate of 16 cents per minute. This is costlier than almost every other international calling rate to other places though.
Razacomm offers calling at a much cheaper price of 13.2 cents per minute and is better in a way that there is no additional bill with the usage. Also, the card can be recharged from anywhere and at anytime.
NobelComm offers similar recharges and calling cards and is also popular among the callers. These cards are not difficult to get but are a lot costly though. This cost can be bore if a person is far away from the family and if a contact is to be maintained.

Phone cards. We all use them. You can buy them almost anywhere. They are convenient to buy, inexpensive, and easy to use. We never think twice about using a calling card to call back home. So, what is the problem? If you plan to file an immigration petition to bring your husband or wife from Ethiopia or any other country, the use of phone cards can cause major problems for your husband or wife when it is time for their visa interview at the embassy.
What do I need to bring to my visa interview?
This seems like a simple question. The problem is most people do not know what to expect, and do not know what they should take to their visa interview. The American Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is aware that many people get married just for immigration purposes. It is those people who commit fraud in coming to the U.S. that make the process more difficult for the people who have real and genuine marriages.
The most important documents the Embassy wants to see from a husband or wife is evidence of communication. The best evidence of communication is phone records of calls made between the husband and wife. The Embassy wants to see the husband’s phone number and the wife’s phone number on the phone records, showing calls to each other. Phone cards do not provide this type of evidence, and this is why you must be careful when using phone cards.
What if I cannot afford to make direct calls?
I know what you are thinking, I cannot afford to call back home using my home phone or cell phone. There are many alternatives to phone cards which can be used to supplement your phone cards. Internet based phone services, also known as Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) such as Vonage or Viatalk, provide low cost phone services, and low cost international rates to Ethiopia around .20 to .38 cents per minute. There are also calling services such as www.joinvip.com and www.rebtel.com that are low cost and provide you with the phone records needed for the embassy.
Phone records are just one of the many types of documents that are needed for a successful interview by your husband or wife at the embassy. Phone records alone are not enough, but should always be taken to the visa interview along with the other evidence to show your marriage is genuine and based on love. Your husband or wife’s preparation for the interview should begin long before the visa interview; the preparation for a successful interview begins when you start your relationship with your husband or wife, and continues throughout your courtship, your wedding, and your marriage. If you are unprepared for the visa interview, your case can be delayed for months or even years. The best plan is to: Plan ahead!
